Our Team
The team assembled has over 200 years collectively of relevant experience and will be led by Michel Mamet, formerly Managing Director at Flagstaff Partners where he spent a career of over 25 years advising clients in these sectors globally. Michel is the founder of Natural Resources Capital (the Manager) and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of the Fund.
Robin Polson has joined as Chief Operations Officer (COO) and Andrew Lye as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). They bring transactional, commercial and technological expertise to drive fund performance.
They will be supported by a very experienced Advisory Board comprising Nino Ficca former CEO of Ausnet Services, one of the largest listed regulated energy company on the ASX at the time, Richard Taylor former CEO of several mid-cap resources companies and Louis Rozman who co-founded Pacific Road private equity and was a former Director, CEO and senior executive of numerous mining and gas companies.
Combined, this group forms an exceptional team. They will be supplemented with additional third-party expertise-primarily across macro-economic research, as well as engineering and geological.

Robin Polson
Chief Operations Officer
Robin brings over 40 years of deep expertise in corporate finance, audit, M&A and valuation across the resources and energy sectors. With extensive Big 4 experience on three continents and 13 years as a Deloitte Corporate Finance Partner, he has advised major mining, oil & gas and infrastructure players on strategy, takeovers and Expert’s Reports, while holding senior commercial and CFO roles at Central Petroleum, Beetaloo Energy and Comet Ridge.

Andrew Lye is a global technology leader with 25+ years’ experience in AI, enterprise innovation, and startup growth across Asia, the U.S., and Europe. As CTO, he drives the fund’s digital strategy, delivering scalable tech solutions and portfolio-wide transformation.
Nino Ficca
Senior Adviser
Nino brings over 40 years of leadership in energy and infrastructure, with deep expertise in regulated networks, strategic investment, and cross-border partnerships. As former MD of AusNet Services, he oversaw $13B in assets and continues to guide high-conviction investments in long-term, resilient infrastructure.

Dr Richard Taylor brings over 20 years of international experience in mining, energy, and resource innovation, with a track record spanning operations, finance, and technology. His leadership across frontier markets, global advisory, and exploration-tech drives strategic access to high-growth assets in the energy transition.
Louis Rozman

Louis brings over 45 years of global mining and energy leadership, with deep expertise in technical operations, capital deployment, and value creation across jurisdictions. As co-founder of Pacific Road Capital, he led high-performing resource investments through disciplined strategy and active asset management.
