Robin Polson

Robin is a highly respected finance professional with over 40 years of deep expertise across audit, corporate finance, investing, commercial and financial roles, predominantly in the resources and energy sectors. His extensive industry knowledge and strategic insight bring critical financial acumen to the fund’s investment decisions across mining, oil & gas, and related infrastructure.

Robin gained broad international experience working with Big 4 accounting firms across three continents, delivering audit, corporate finance, M&A, valuation and strategy services largely focused on major mining, oil & gas, and infrastructure operations. He served as Deloitte Corporate Finance Partner for 13 years, providing high-level strategic advice to mining companies, oil & gas majors and governments. He authored numerous Expert’s Reports on takeovers and mergers in the Australian resources sector (predominantly oil & gas, coal, base metals and gold), delivered strategic advice to energy generators and resource industry supply-chain infrastructure entities, and represented resource industry players through key industry associations.

 

He previously held the role of Director of an investment bank investing proprietary capital in private company roll-ups. More recently, Robin served as Chief Commercial Officer at Central Petroleum and Chief Financial Officer at Beetaloo Energy Australia. He currently serves as CFO for Comet Ridge Limited in a part-time capacity.
