Professional Experience

Louis brings over 45 years of global mining and energy experience to the fund, with a career spanning executive leadership, technical operations, investment management, and corporate development. His deep industry insight and strategic acumen have consistently delivered value across complex jurisdictions and commodities cycles.

As Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Pacific Road Capital, Louis led investments in private equity mining funds with a focus on unlocking value through disciplined capital allocation, operational improvement, and ESG-conscious development. Under his leadership, the firm deployed capital across Australia, the Americas, and Africa.

Earlier in his career, Louis held senior operational and executive roles with some of Australia’s leading mining companies, including Mount Isa Mines, Pancontinental Mining, and Delta Gold (later AurionGold), where he served as Chief Operations Officer during a transformative period of growth and eventual acquisition by Placer Dome. His executive leadership at CH4 Gas Limited also culminated in a successful sale to Arrow Energy, underscoring his track record in both mining and unconventional energy.

Louis is currently a Non-Executive Director of Empire Energy Group Ltd, bringing capital markets expertise and governance oversight to a publicly listed energy company.

A Fellow of both the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM), Louis has been recognised with multiple national awards for professional excellence, leadership, and service to the mining industry, including the prestigious AusIMM Institute Medal (2023).
